Surface Finishing
Projet is not just polishing – we are transforming the product into perfect market-ready masterpieces. With the right post-processing technique on finishing, we can bridge the gap between concept and reality, ensuring the end product wows the crowds.
Immerse in the difference, our expert finishing services elevate the prototypes into visual masterpieces.
We enhance the appearance, geometric accuracy, and properties of the parts, ensuring a transformative and polished final product that exceeds expectations. Below is our common plastic surface treatment methods.
Spray painting
Painting involves spraying a layer of paint onto the surface of the part. Colours can be matched to a Pantone colour number of the customer’s choosing, while finishes range from matte to gloss to metallic.
Silk screen printing
Screen printing is a printing technique where a mesh is used to transfer ink (or dye) onto a substrate, except in areas made impermeable to the ink by a blocking stencil. A blade or squeegee is moved across the screen to fill the open mesh apertures with ink, and a reverse stroke then causes the screen to touch the substrate momentarily along a line of contact.
Vacuum metalizing
A process of evaporating metals (most commonly aluminium chroming) inside a vacuum chamber to achieve a uniform metalized layer. It is the most common PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) process used to apply metal alloys under vacuum. Using vacuum metalizing this metallic layer bonds to the substrate that desire for the use of EMI/RFI shielding, chrome decorative coatings, and reflective surface finished.
Pad printing
Process that converts a 2-D image into a 3-D object. It is an indirect photogravure process, which means the transfer of an image to a substrate or medium. It is referred to as an indirect process because the printing plate does not once come in contact with the medium. The ink for printing is indirectly transferred by the help of a silicon pad, using heat, and in a printing machine.
